Yoga has been a part of Mary’s life for over 20 years. What began as a way to maintain flexibility and strength, became a body, mind and spiritual connection where she felt grounded, more mindful and at peace with herself. As a native New Yorker, Mary and her husband raised their five children on Long Island. Upon her retirement as an educator she and the family moved to New Milford, Ct. for a few years. While living in Ct., Mary received her RYT 200 yoga certification with Lotus Gardens Yoga in Sherman, Ct. under the direction of Lara Ward. She also studied Yin Yoga with Sarah Powers at West Hartford Yoga, Ct.  Mary received her Reiki Level I certification in the Usui System of Natural Healing in Brewster, NY.

The next few years were spent in Venice, Fl. where Mary continued her yoga training with Heartwood Retreat Center in Bradenton, Fl. receiving Senior Yoga Certification, Chair Yoga Certification and Meditation Training. At Garden of the Heart Yoga in Sarasota, Fl. Mary was trained in Yoga for Osteoporosis and in Mindful Movement for Parkinson’s Disease through Yoga Reach.  Mary studied with Todd Norian in Ashaya Yoga and Jaye Martin in Anusara Yoga. Mary returned to the Northeast in 2019 to be near her children and two precious grandsons. Mary is a student in the School of Practical Philosophy where she studies philosophy and practices group meditation weekly

Mary is a Level B Certified Life Coach with an emphasis in Positive Psychology, she is currently accepting virtual clients. She also facilitates the Flourishing Skills Group with Stone Wave Yoga which meets annually in the Winter.

Mary is forever grateful to all of her teachers, past and present who have inspired her through their words and actions. She is also indebted to her students who have allowed her to open her heart to receive their light and love.  She looks forward to guiding her students as they deepen their own yoga practice.
