The Beautiful Courage to Change

From the begin of time - from the caveman to the modern humans, our species has undergone a remarkable journey of adaptation, innovation, and survival.

In our own life journey, we also go through an evolution. It is said that change is an essential part of personal growth and development.

The need for change often arises when we seek to improve our lives, whether it’s related to our habits, mindset, or circumstances.

When we seek for a deeper connection to life, and desire to learn from the wisdom that life offers, we discover new ways to approach our circumstances.

Personal change can lead to increased happiness, fulfillment, and overall well-being.

But not everyone around you may appreciate your change and that can be hard. This often creates conflict within us, as we may strive to keep old relationships alive by compromising - often at our own expense.

Interfaith Minister, Reverend Nancy Colier, LCSW says, "It takes courage to unpack the rules of the bond, the unspoken agreements about who we are and are supposed to be in our relationships. But ultimately, this process sets us free from our old patterns, and allows us to experience new and more real and satisfying connections."

The goal is to do all you can to stay in love and compassion as you navigate the transitions of change within yourself and with those around you. It is not always easy. I know.

Scripture:
Ephesians 4:22-24 – Putting on the New Self
"…with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self...and to put on the new self, (you) created by God in true honor and peacefulness."
