What is a Flourishing Skills Group?

Meet with a group of like minded people interested in building resilience skills so they may flourish and show up in the world as the best version of themselves.

We will meet in person once a month on the first Tuesday from 7:00-8:30 PM. at Stone Wave in Gardiner.

Each session will focus on one Positive Psychology skill to build resilience, develop a growth mindset, strengthen communication skills and nurture healthy relationships.

During the month participants will have continual opportunities to practice the skill in real time.

Mary will be available virtually throughout the program to offer individual coaching sessions to help navigate these practices on a daily basis.

Week #2 - Signature Strengths

Week #3 - Positivity and Gratitude 

Week #4 - Active Constructive Responding 

Week #5 - Reframing Mind Chatter


Course Objective

  • Create greater happiness

  • Find a sense of well-being

  • Focus on building mindfulness

  • Learn new skills and having the time and space to practice these skills

    Each month the structure stays the same and there is a new skill introduced.

    Students will put the skills into practice in a fun and supportive learning environment.

The Flourishing Skills Group Model is a unique, research-based approach that’s tailored to help people decrease stress and increase their happiness and well-being, in a nurturing and supportive environment.


Course Bonus

In addition, Mary will offer sessions in Havening which is a form of Complementary Alternative Medicine.

Meet the Facilitator

As a native New Yorker, Mary and her husband raised their five children on Long Island. Upon retirement as an educator, she and the family moved to New Milford, Ct. for a few years. While living in Ct., Mary received her RYT 200 yoga certification with Lotus Gardens Yoga in Sherman, Ct. under the direction of Lara Ward. She also studied Yin Yoga with Sarah Powers at West Hartford Yoga, Ct. Mary received her Reiki Level I certification in the Usui System of Natural Healing in Brewster, NY.

 The next few years were spent in Venice, Fl. where Mary continued her yoga training with Heartwood Retreat Center in Bradenton, Fl. receiving Senior Yoga Certification, Chair Yoga Certification and Meditation Training. At Garden of the Heart Yoga in Sarasota, Fl.
