YOUR EDUCATORS
Michael has led sixteen yoga teacher training programs as well as a variety of workshops on Anatomy and Physiology. He has owned and co-directed two yoga studios, and continues to serve many students.
Liz left two decades of stressful corporate life; founded two yoga studios, cultivated hundreds of students, written, co-written and designed many programs, and has launched and led successful teacher training programs.
What brings them together?
Nothing makes them happier than imparting their love of yoga to students and sharing the endless gifts that the practice brings into our lives. After experiencing first hand how a steady practice can be life altering, both Michael & Liz continue to teach, study and grow. We believe that yoga is one of those rare pursuits that can be done by anyone, anywhere, for the rest of our lives; and this simple fact reminds us to enjoy every moment of the journey rather than focusing on any specific goal.
What makes this structure of this course special, is that while it is led by two co-facilitators, it is supported by The Collective. Stone Wave: The Collective is dedicated to providing expert instructors as guest speakers and facilitators for all our programs. We are committed to bringing diversity in approach; focused on meeting our mission of yoga for all. Each facilitator /guest speaker is selected to enhance your journey and broaden your perspective.
In addition to time with your lead instructors, you will also be assigned a mentor for the duration of your training. Mentors are experienced instructors and wellness professionals, who are inspired to share their experience and love of yoga with teacher trainees in a closer, more focused and personalized setting.
It’s often stated that yoga is about relationships. We form relationships with our environment, our diet, our body, our mind, our heart, and with the people around us. You will be partnered with a fellow seeker on your journey - your accountability partner - to help you both hold one another accountable, to ask questions, to help with homework, and to practice teaching techniques. You will be required to meet with your partner (virtually and/or in person) during the training.
